Emily Mortimer is an actor, director, screenwriter and producer. She just wrapped her feature directorial debut Dennis with A24 and Fruit Tree. Mortimer co-wrote Jay Kelly with Noah Baumbach for which she earned a Critic’s Choice nomination. She wrote and directed an adaptation of Nancy Mitford’s novel THE PURSUIT OF LOVE for the BBC and Amazon.
Mortimer’s break-out performance came in Nicole Holofcener’s critically acclaimed, LOVELY AND AMAZING which won her an Independent Spirit Award. She has been nominated by the London Film Critics Circle for her performance in YOUNG ADAM, the Goya awards for her role in THE BOOKSHOP, and the Baftas for THE PURSUIT OF LOVE.
Mortimer’s television credits include two seasons of HBO’s DOLL & EM, co-written by and co-starring her friend Dolly Wells. She starred opposite Jeff Daniels in THE NEWSROOM and had a recurring role on 30 ROCK. She’ll next appear in THE NEW LOOK for Apple opposite Juliette Binoche.
As a film actor she has worked with some of the greats, including Martin Scorsese (SHUTTER ISLAND, HUGO), Woody Allen (MATCH POINT) and Rob Marshall (MARY POPPINS RETURNS) among many others.
Alessandro Nivola is an award winning actor and producer. On Broadway he received Tony and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for his performance opposite Bradley Cooper in THE ELEPHANT MAN and a Drama Desk Award nomination for A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY opposite Helen Mirren. For Sebastian Lelio’s film DISOBEDIENCE opposite Rachel Weisz, he won the 2018 British Independent Film Award (BIFA) and was nominated for a London Critics Circle Award, and a UK National Film Award. He was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Lisa Cholodenko’s LAUREL CANYON and won a SAG Award and a Critics Choice Award for David O Russell’s AMERICAN HUSTLE. He won the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival Best Actor Award and the Achievement in Acting Award at the 2009 Provincetown International Film Festival.
Nivola was most recently seen in the Academy Award winner THE BRUTALIST directed by Brady Corbet. He just wrapped the Ryan Murphy series LOVE STORY as Calvin Klein. He was Dickie Moltisanti, the lead role in the Warner Bros. SOPRANOS prequel feature THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK and in David O Russell’s film AMSTERDAM with Christian Bale and Margot Robbie. He also co-stars with André Holland in the Apple+ limited series THE BIG CIGAR, directed by Don Cheadle. He stars with Russell Crowe, Aaron Taylor Johnson and Ariana DeBose in JC Chandor’s Marvel feature KRAVEN THE HUNTER.
He is set to direct his first feature film, ORION, this summer.
Lizzie Nastro spent nine years at IFC Films as Director of Acquisitions before becoming head of film and tv at King Bee. Her producing credits include Dennis, written and directed by Emily Mortimer. Skate Kitchen, a feature film written and directed by Crystal Moselle which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was released by Magnolia Pictures. She was a producer on the HBO TV series BETTY. Additionally, she produced three short films with writer/director Chloë Sevigny, which had premieres at Cannes and Venice. Previously, she produced I AM A TOWN, a documentary feature directed by Mischa Richter and Richter’s second feature doc, SUMMER TOUR which premiered at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival, the short documentary, BRIAN ANDERSON ON BEING A GAY PRO SKATEBOARDER for Vice and THE WANNABE, a film directed by Nick Sandow starring Patricia Arquette and Vincent Piazza. Some of the films she acquired while at IFC include Lena Dunham’s TINY FURNITURE, MEDICINE FOR MELONCHOLY directed by Barry Jenkins, and THE PLEASURE OF BEING ROBBED by the Safdie Brothers. She was a 2017 Sundance producing summit fellow. She started her career at New Line Cinema.
Isabel Sherman joins King Bee from FilmNation Entertainment, where she helped to develop, package, and sell television series, leveraging the company’s extensive film relationships and artist-friendly brand, for partners such as Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, Sky, Amazon, and Apple. The produced shows she worked on include Small Town Big Story for Sky, an original series from Chris O’Dowd starring Christina Hendricks and Paddy Considine, and the upcoming adaptation of Isabel Allende’s The House of the Spirits for Amazon, from writer-director Francisca Allegria and Fernanda Urrejola. Prior to FilmNation, she worked at Universal Studio Group, a division of NBCUniversal, in series development on shows such as Dr. Death for Peacock starring Alec Baldwin and Jamie Dornan, and The Girl From Plainville for Hulu starring Elle Fanning. Additionally, she helped build the creative acquisitions department across the studio group, working closely with 150+ overall deals including Esmail Corp, Monkeypaw, Fuzzy Door, and HeyDay, strategically pairing books/IP with writers/producers to package into series. She is passionate about telling stories from underrepresented voices and has an especially soft spot for book-to-screen adaptations. She started her career in the ICM mailroom, is from the Bay Area, and lives in LA.
